* Look through a complete wedding so you can see if the quality of work is consistent.
* Be realistic about your budget. You do get what you pay for and do not shop on price alone.
* Meet the photographer so you can get a feel for who they are and whether you can imagine having them be with you, your family and friends on the big day.
* Ask about what their techniques are for processing the images. All digital images require retouching to make the most of their contrast, sharpness, colour etc. and so it is important that your wedding pictures go through an editing process using Photoshop software or similar.
* Consider impartial advice on what to ask and how to choose a wedding photographer.
* Research a little and be sure you have the right information and questions to ask when speaking to a photographer about your wedding.
