Anyone who knows us will tell you that our dogs come before anything else. Brian has been owned by his Airedale's for over 25 years, and more recently Welsh terriers and sadly misses 'Duke' his Irish Woolfhound, who he lost a several years ago. From a young age he had hamsters, rabbits, while growing up he always had a cat and dog at home. He lives at the Haven so all Boarders will receive his personal attention several times a day.In recent times has been joined by Caroline, who has her own horse and a keen interest in dogs and Cats, we own 21 dogs of our own including Airedale and Welsh Terriers

Please please don’t use these kennels and cattery. Haven is a joke. They let our cat escape through a damaged roof and Brian’s excuse for not seeing it was that his wife had just had a baby. They didn’t allow my sister onto the premises to drop the cat off which was a huge red flag. We insisted on seeing the premises because we wanted to search for our cat. I wouldn’t leave my worst enemy’s animals in there. Filthy. Dirty. The dogs looked upset and distressed. The whole place is dirty and unkempt. I beg you not to use this place.

i am saddened that this person has chosen to air her displeasure in this way, so feel i should set the record straight. i am the owner of haven kennels, if and i do say if!!! a kennels heat lamp was not working a customer would not have to insist on a change of kennel if the fault could not be rectified immediately we would of course change the dog to a different kennel without being asked by the customer. myself and Tina who is manager of the kennels take great pride in the care that we give to each and every one of our boarders, we have numerous regular customers who come back time and time again with their dogs, cats or rabbits and we are dissapointed in the post on this site, that the lady if she was not happy did not choose to speak to us, we always give what we consider a friedly approach to all our customers. as to a wet bedding, if i recall this youngster had dragged his blanket into his water bowl shortly before the customer came to collect her dog, this was explained and excepted despite an offer to dry the blanket, anyone is welcome to visit and view our facilities at any time haven kennels
